Employment Process

If an applicant accepts a offer, we will email the applicant to come to our office. The applicant will receive eight (8) hours of new hire orientation. The applicant will:

◾ will attend a classroom training provided by ASTAI Security Services, Inc;

◾ The applicant will complete a Federal Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification), Federal Form W-4 (Employee’s Tax Withholding Certificate), VA-4 State tax documents, direct deposit form, emergency contact form;

◾ Will be Issued a handbook;

◾ Will be Issued uniforms and equipment;

◾ Will have an ID card issued;

Any applicant will be placed on a 90-day probationary period, when the probation period ends, they will be issued agency credentials. Each applicant must complete a 40 hours training course to be certified as a Special Police Officer in accordance with District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR) Title 6A, Chapter 11, Section 1100.7.
