Registration for Classroom Training

  • E-Sign Waivers (If you are taking the 2 Gun Class Only all E-Sign Waiver Documents must be complete).
  • Include the dash. Ex. 99-1234567 From your DCJS ID card. You MUST Register with the Department of Criminal Justice Services Apply For Registration: https://lotus.dcjs.virginia.gov/Account/Login/Register?return Url=%2F
    If you are registering for DC UnArmed Security Officer enter 99- your 2 day date of birth and your 4 year date of birth Ex. 99-051974 05 is your 2 digit day of birth (add a zero (0) if you have 1-9 as your day of birth and 1974 is the year of birth.
  • If you are taking a firearms class please include the caliber that you will qualify with. If you are taking online Alternative In-service training 07R, 08R, 09R, 10R you must register at web.astai.us for online services, then send an email to astai.org@gmail.com requesting your Range date to qualify. You must receive back from your email a reply Approved to attend the range. (NO WALK IN'S at the Range will be allowed) Once you qualify your score will be entered into the school's database and your completion will be sent to DCJS electronically..

  • Have you seen the List of Acceptable Documents for Verifying Legal Presence? You must bring with you (2) forms of identification. (Driver's License & Social Security Card is preferable) No refunds! Only change class dates within one (1) week notice.

    This policy pertains to all training. No refunds will be made for "No Shows" (a "No Show" is a person who registers for a class but does attend the class) If ASTAI needs to cancel the class, ASTAI offers ONLY a transfer of initial registration to another date, provided such class is scheduled and space is available. If ASTAI determines that a student must be removed from the class for inappropriate or illegal conduct, NO refunds will be made. If you have any questions CONTACT US astai.org@gmail.com or call 703-916-8411. There are NO Rescheduling of training after 90 days from the original registration application on file.
